The sun is Blazing and water is scarce. Prey can be found scuttleing in the streets. Nighttime is the best time for looking for food and wqater because at that time it is cooler and a light breeze comes through every few minutes.

Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. The rain poured onto the cold stones. A quick, silent lightning bolt thrashed onto the hard ground. A bright, glowing moon peeked out through the layers of dark, angry storm clouds. A soothing, fresh wind ruffled the small desert plants. A small, thin brown cat sauntered through the wind and rain, struggling to an imaginary destination.

As the rain hissed by, Saggeth huddled under one of the Spirit Rocks. Or rather, pressed tightly to the side. Most of the raindrops whizzed by harmlessly, but now and then a stray one splatted onto her, so she was fairly damp from having been there for several hours. But now she struggled onto her paws, spotting the other cat pass by through a tiny sliver of moonlight. She narrowed her eyes and stalked out of the dark crevice, onto the rain-splattered path. She kneaded the wet groung beneath her into a muddy soup, twitching the raindrops of her ears.

Shuffle. Something was out there! The slender she-cat dropped, eyes shifting over the blank distance in front of her. In the sliver of moon, she saw a fluffy creature, a tail, and two glowing eyes, a cat! The loner stopped to a halt, gritting her teeth with unnecessary worry. "Who's out there?" She hissed, eyes glowing with a terrible feeling.

Saggeth padded slowly to where the loner stood. "Scared?" she jeered. "Thought something might hurt you?" She assumed a mocking, high-pitched voice. "Who's out there?". She stepped forward, narrowed her amber eyes to ominous slits. "I'm Saggeth," she growled. Her angular rainstreaked face was shoved right against the other cat's.

Fleur stepped back. Her image of saftey was face to face with some random loner. "Saggeth, i'm Fleur.." She spoke, claws sheathing and unsheathing. The rogue cat stepped up, and in the pale sliver on moonlight studied Saggeth's features. Fleur stepped back, obviously finished. "What is a cat like you out in this rain for?"

"None of your business," rasped Saggeth, drawing back a little. She hated it when cats stood up to her. But this cat did not seem rough like her, just polite and unafraid. "Fleur, eh?" her voice wavered. She had the feeling that she had been evaluated. "Nice name. But what the h*** is it supposed to mean?" She flinched inwardly. What was she trying to do, impress this cat by swearing? She already had the feeling the Fleur would not care what Saggeth though of her name.
